The meal price starts at around 1,450 yen. Did not pay attention to whether there is a public holiday.
If it is a weekday, I think I will not wait that much. I saw a line from around the afternoon, but depending on the time of the day, I replaced it. I will line up when it's time but I do not think it's enough to keep you waiting so much.
Excellent service from the waiter! The food was delicious, from my experience, Shinjuku Sarabeth's is better than the Tokyo one. Highly recommended.
It's become a bit of a tourist trap in my opinion. But the eggs Benedict are very good.
Both Egg Benedict and French toast are excellent. The Hot Orange Ginger for Christmas is also nice.
Also agree with previous reviewers, this place is nothing special & pricey. It also took a while to find this damn entrance. You go up some escalators and it is near the south/east entrance of the train station. I will probably not recommend going here not unless you want to pay a lot for breakfast. Lucky we didn’t have to wait long for a table (approx 5mins) as we got there around 9:30am. By the time we finished there was a long line.Having said that, the service was friendly, food came out really fast & the food was decent but the price is just what let’s it down. Coffee ain’t too bad as well.
One of the best eggs benedict I've tried before. The French toast is a must try too.
Overall average food, average service. However, quite above-average prices. If you do go, the cream tomato soup is a good dish.
Ok let’s get straight to the point here, there is a reason we would walk more than half a mile each day to get here. There is a reason queues were formed outside each day. The breakfast is ridiculously tasty. However I do think they could try to locate to a bigger premises or does the queues add to the “upmarket†feel? If your close by definitely try a breakfast here!!
This meal was very tasty. The omelette was cooked perfectly and the French toast was extremely well prepared with a crispy outside and soft silky inside. The coffee was good. Its pretty Western but it's tough to find breakfast food this quick and delicious.
I’ve been to the original Sarabeth’s in New York City and I must say that their branch in Shinjuku is at par or even better than the one in NYC... it’s that good! Their place is located inside a department store and has a nice cozy decor. Relaxing and enjoyable place to take a break after a day of shopping.I ordered their famous classic Eggs Benedict and my son ordered their One Great Burger w/ herbed fries. It definitely did not disappoint. We couldn’t get enough of their food that we ordered their pancakes for dessert.
We were craving a western breakfast which seems very hard to find in Shinjuku. This place was very clean, a little tricky to find and yummy but expensive. Cost us about $85 AUD for 2 people. They also forgot to bring one of our orders out.. we probably waited 30mins and had to remind them - they then started to cook it. Staff spoke basic English, enough to get your point across.
Waited for 30 minutes for the table. Waited another 15 minutes for the food, but it was totally worth it! The french toast was so fluffy and tasty! We were really impressed. The BKT (bacon, kale, tomato) sandwiches were very flavorful. The fries that came with the sandwiches were freshly made. The portion was large. The staffs were really helpful and attentive. Haven’t tried their pastry, but I am certain they are as good as they look! Definitely will come back next time I come to Tokyo!
I ordered the classic eggs benedict and they were cooked to perfection! English menus were provided and the staff spoke some English as well, so it was easy to navigate as a tourist. The atmosphere was relaxing and it was a pleasant stop.
If you fancy a western style breakfast /brunch in Shinjuku, a solid option. Serving portions are large and the menu is positioned towards sweet foods (with different varieties of pancakes). Be prepared to queue up! If attending early before Luninee 2 opens, you need to use a side entrance which can be hard to find. It's basically in the train station next to Luninee two, up some escalators. The restaurant is pretty expensive but a worthwhile treat.
Friendly staffLovely atmosphereNice decorVegetarian optionsOne Vegan option (Fruit Bowl)Staff speak good English if you don't know much Japanese
Excellent food and service. Very clean. Best spot in Tokyo.
I will rate it as 3.5 stars. Frankly speaking, kind of over rated for this price. We tried the top 3 recommendations and only the egg Benedict was good. Yes the pancakes had a tinge of lemon but that's about it though it's fluffy. The French toast was better than the pancakes and it tasted very normal as well. Nothing spectacular. If the queue is long, don't waste your time here. Go for Japanese kind of breakfast instead. Oh the orange mango vanilla drink (can't remember the name) had very mildly taste too.
Pancakes were decent but nothing special. Coffee (not lattes) was Good. A little pricey - around ¥2,500 for coffee and pancakes
If you want to get some lush American breakfast for a change in Tokyo, Sarabeth's is a safe bet.
Delicious food! It gets very busy due to being so popular. I advise arriving early to get seated. They also have a English menu.
Line to get in was extremely long. It was about a hour wait to get in, but the food was amazing. The place is pretty small on the inside, which explains the wait time. Everyone absolutely loved their meal. I would go again if the line isn't as long.
Great if you’re looking for a more Western-style breakfast while in Tokyo and are willing to wait a bit for it. There is usually a queue, and it can get quite long. I was lucky to be passing through Shinjuku Station early on a Sunday morning, and was the first in line about 45 minutes before opening. About 15 minutes later the line grew pretty quickly and stretched down the staircase.Highly recommend the lemon ricotta pancakes and the fruit bowl. Definitely not a cheap breakfast, but a nice treat while traveling.
Food n service here is absolutely lovely! Please try it if u can! Prices are reasonable too! Great breakfast to start the day!
Top notch breakfast. Everything in the menu is fantastic.
Arrived at 9.30 on a weekday and the restaurant was about 60% full. Nevertheless, the wait staff still took their own sweet time to seat us (is it a requirement for them to always have a queue forming outside or what?). So, oddly, we still found ourselves waiting in the queue for at least 10 minutes despite there being plenty of seats. Alright, now on to the food - yes it really was quite good. Expensive, but delicious. We had the lemon ricotta pancakes and Goldilocks.
Amazing eggs for anyone to enjoy! You won’t even need salt and pepper. The colour of the eggs are luminous. My son said “that was awesome†... a big compliment indeed!
Not many places to get good french toast, pancakes or similar western brunch / breakfast types of food. Served up with fresh juices. Typical Japanese polite service, good decor and atmosphere. Went on a Saturday afternoon so we had to wait but overall a very good experience and recommended.
Went on Google for a great breakfast place & found this one. There was a long queue outside the restaurant since they had limited seating inside but since they had great reviews we waited. It took a while till we received our food, but it was worth the wait, everything was delicious. The French toast & pancakes were so fluffy so that is a must. I was even able to pay for my meal with a credit card here. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area.
Had the buttermilk pancakes. Was really good but could have had a bigger portion of whipped cream
We came here for a brunch and I was blown away by how much I enjoyed this place. The lemon ricotta pancakes were amazing and just melted in my mouth. The eggs Benedict presentation and taste was also really great! I was also surprised by how tasty my hot chocolate was (I definitely recommend this). Overall the food and service was just fantastic!
A lot to see in the mall. Many stores got discounts going on and a minimum of 2 hours should be reserved here
15min queue for weekday brunch which is reasonable, excellent service and attentiveness. Despite only the 2 of us, was given a table for 4 (when there’s a queue outside). Server asked if we were sharing and brought plates and tongs for the purpose. The eggs Benedict was picture perfect with creamy hollandaise sauce and smoky ham. Ricotta Pancakes was also perfect. Recommended if you are looking for a elegant breakfast or spot for tea.
this restaurant in lumine is always on my travel plan when i go to tokyo! and this is so far the only sarabeth's that keeps the standard! ( others in osaka and taipei are really disappointing )
White chocolate pancakes were very good.
Best pancakes I've had in Japan so far. Go for the pancakes with strawberries and a side of ice cream, really good.
Good breakfast or brunch. Have to queue a while because of long queue. Food is exquisitely prepared.
I had fresh toast and egg Benedict in here. The French toast is the best that I ever had! And it is so soft and full of egg flavor. Together with the light Icing, simply delicious! And the egg benedict is tasty too. I also try the seasonal drink and cappuccino, they are all above standard. Recommended!
The cafe is right next to the Shinjuku station west exit. Stopped over for some afternoon tea before our train ride. Luckily there was no queue (@3 p.m on a week day) and got in straight away. Really nice soft buttermilk pancakes and the latte was quite good for my liking but some might find it too mild. Only wish we had time to try their other dishes.
I had the lemon ricotta pancakes which were amazing and all the other food I saw looked just as good. If you don't mind spending ~2000 yen on breakfast, then this is a stop you will want to make.
The quality of the food was good but nothing special for someone living in Europe. Portions are quite large (I couldnt finish the pancakes). The queue is very long and they do bring you the cheque as soon as you finish.
Decent breakfast. Had the fluffy french toast and the lemon pancakes
Great food and service. Spoke enough English to make it easy for us.
Decent food with good vibe. It wasnt as crowded as expected. We went there twice on weekdays for breakfast. 4 flower juice was really good.
Nice place for brunches and the portions are large too. We ordered their famous eggs Benedict with hollandaise sauce which was ok, great for sharing and majority of the customers were all females. My only complaint is that the customer service could be better and the servers were just talking at the back among themselves leaving one staff to do everything.
We have this in NY but since the menu is based on the location, we wanted to try it out. Just be aware that the wait is long and the line is always going down the stairs. You can either come really early or past 11am to have less wait time. We got the French toast which was absolutely delicious and the salmon eggs benedicts, which was okay. From our experience and what I saw around us, they tend to serve the couples one plate at a time so as to share the meal between us. Make sure you let them know if you want to each get your own order. I would come back for the French toast but not that line.
So this is a good place to capture your craving for a brunch in tokyo. Food is deifnitely good and the service is too. Ambience is a bit white and vintage. Located inside a mall. Enough seating arrangement.
DIRECTIONS: So, Sarabeth's is SUPER DIFFICULT to find before Lumine 2 opens. It is part of the Lumine 2 complex but opens before the department store does, so it outside of the official department store's doors so to speak. Looking into the South Exit of the station (road behind you), the station entrance will split many ways. Looking NORTHWEST-ish, there will be an ESCALATOR (not stairs, not a corridor but an escalator) going up. You do not need to pass through any station gates. Sarabeth's is at the top of the escalator.A good place for those looking for a Western breakfast. We waited about 30 minutes for a table on a weekday morning. Even with a queue outside, they kept the restaurant about 25% free (maybe due to staffing?). The fluffy french toast is super fluffy - the best thing we ate. The eggs benedict is well executed, refined even: perfectly poached eggs sitting on soft English muffins. The pancakes were just okay and needed extra maple syrup as they were on the dry side.
Ordered cinnamon French toast, plan cake and classic benedict. Cinnamon french toast was the best. The others were not too bad too. Presentation was very good.
Your Mrs. will enjoy this place for hours. Dont let her carry the plastic.
Outstanding food, the dishes look exactly like in their pictures and taste amazing! I had the eggs benedict and lemon ricotta pancakes (I think the best pancake I've ever eaten). Expect a bit of wait to be seated.
Delicious pancakes - so light and fluffy! Great toppings too! Would highly recommend!
